"Puck"
2016 AQHA Gelding
14.3 hands
Hollywood Swagger is by HollywoodsTinseltown (LTE $179,000 and has produced over $3 Million), and out of a daughter of Lean With Me (LTE $38,000 and PE of $717,000) who is by Smart Little Lena (LTE $743,275, Produce Earnings of $42.3 Million, #2 All Time Leading Sire, NCHA - AQHA Leading Cutting Sire).
Puck is a strong, attractive horse that is built like a brick house. He has a great handle, comfortable gaits, and is well-balanced. He travels around with a lot of style, stops hard, spins, and works the flag. He's been ridden out on the mountain extensively and is very sure-footed and is not afraid of wildlife or rough terrain. He's been hauled and has been used to turn back, and does great in new places. He's just a good boy. He wants to find the answer, doesn't like to get in trouble, and gives you everything he has.
Puck lives in a stall, run, or turned out with other horses. Hauls, ties, clips, bathes, is good for the farrier, etc. He is sound with no maintenance and no history of lameness. He has never been injected and is usually barefoot, but has occasionally been shod for hauling around.
Puck is priced low for his quality because he gets short of breath when his head is framed up tight and flexed at the poll. It is due to his trachea not holding its shape when his head is in a tightly flexed position. Understandably, he gets nervous when trained like that. Because of this, I do not want him to go to a show home despite his good handle. I would like for him to find a career where he can have free head carriage, or a higher frame. He would make a standout rope horse, trail horse, casual riding horse, or ranch horse. He moves out well and has some speed to him. He has been extensively vetted for this, and a surgical fix is possible for him to have a show career in the future. I am happy to share vet records with the buyer, and want Puck to have the great life he deserves.
