"Spur"

2021 AQHA Gelding

14.2 hands

NRCHA, VRH, SHTX, AQHA, Roping

Doc Tom Blues is a coming 4yo bay roan gelding by Rocky Mountain Blues (Lifetime Earnings of $140,000), and out of Sparkin Tucker, who is by Starlight Shiner, son of the legendary Shining Spark

You won't find a kinder, more attractive horse. 'Spur' draws attention everywhere he goes with his style, movement, and kind eye.  He is a balanced and comfortable ride with enough size and bone to go in any direction. He spent his 2yo year in cutting training, had the winter and early spring off to grow up, and has been in cowhorse training since. While he (like all young horses) benefits from consistent work, he takes no prep, rides the same if ridden everyday or with time off, and comes out gentle and ready to learn. He is a non pro or youth dream partner that is ready to continue his training and move onto any career. He is plenty safe to be maintained at home, and with continued education he would make a great horse for Versatility, Stock Horse of Texas, or could show in the NRCHA derbies or non pro classes. He has the classiness and movement for Ranch Riding or Ranch Trail, the size and disposition for roping either end, and the stop for breakaway or calf roping.

Spur has been hauled extensively and is easy to take places. He lives in a stall, run, or turned out with other horses. He's an easy keeper and easy to handle in every way. Hauls, ties, clips, bathes, is good for the farrier, etc. He is sound with no maintenance, has never been injected, and goes fine either barefoot or in shoes.

Pre-purchase exams welcome at buyer's expense.
