bringin the guns

Bringin The Guns, affectionately known as 'Laila', is a 2018 AQHA dun mare who is 5 Panel N/N. She stands at a stout 14.3 hands, and is a thick, strong mare. She is sired by Dun Gotta Gun (AQHA Dun It Gotta Gun), LTE $67,750. His stallion card and information are located below.

Laila is a dream. I really enjoy this horse and have dreaded listing her for sale, because I enjoy her so much. She is a sweet, gentle, and kind mare who loves people and wants nothing more than to find the answer you're looking for. She is safe with time off, and I have never experienced her to rear, buck, or bolt, no matter how often she's worked. She has a great foundation with wonderful gaits, good lead departures, quick turnarounds, and has been started on the flag, on cattle, and on lead changes. She watches a cow nicely and wants to be a big stopper and easy lead changer. She would excel in versatility, ranch riding, cowhorse, heeling or breakaway, or just be a really enjoyable pleasure or trail horse for the whole family to enjoy. She rides in a snaffle, hackamore, bridle, halter, or bridleless. I currently ride her in a hackamore but turn back on her in a bridle.

I've extensively hauled this mare all over the place, including down to the Snaffle Bit Futurity for three weeks, and she is the same horse no matter where I take her. She is my go-to when I need a steady mount that is enjoyable to be around. Seriously, I used her for a photoshoot standing on the edge of a rock cliff in a blizzard with no halter or anything on her, and she stood like a statue the entire time. Whether I take her out on the mountain, turn back in the cutting pen, pony other horses, etc., she's my ride.  I can lead other horses off of her down the street with cattle trucks, cars, bicycles, dogs going by and she walks along with the mindset of a much older horse.

She is wonderful to be around, will stand all day, doesn't get attached to other horses, doesn't act like a mare, is easy to catch, tie, load, haul, bathe, clip, vacuum, blow-dry -- you name it.

She is very correct in her conformation with a beautiful head, a mane that touches her leg, and a dun line down her back. She has the brains, build, and trainability to make a nice broodmare, as well.

Located in Conifer, Colorado. Will happily help arrange shipping.
